Franco's career continues!

Jason speculated the other day that 48 year old Julio Franco's career may be over....

But it's not. He has signed with the Braves.

True to his name . . . Julio "The Man Who Would Never Retire" Franco.

Can we start the discussion now about Franco's HOF credentials? Only one of 85 to have 2500 hits and is certainly one of the oldest to ever play the game. If nothing else, his birth certificate ought to get in there.

As the only 85-year-old with 2,500 hits, he should definitely make the Hall of Fame.

Or is that not what you meant, Jason?

Haha, that's sort of what I meant, as I was only half-serious, but I'm sure his numbers have to stack up with some people that are in there.

In any event, I say good pick up for the Braves. He's like having one more coach on the bench or on the field.
