In 2003 I bought a Prior shirt, figuring he was the best bet to be around for a long time. I've worn it twice: the one Cubs game I've been able to get to at RFK in 2 years, and the Cubs-Mets game I went to in New York. The question now is: keep wearing it? It was awfully expensive to wear only twice.
The thing about being a Cubs fan is that when your teams fail, it doesn't faze you. You even learn to laugh at the absurdity and come up with things like "shadow" records (the Nats are 12-10).
From the hard copy of the Onion this week comes this headline:
"Alfonso Soriano Feels Like He Wasted Another Day at Wrigley Field When He Could've Been Running Errands"
