DCist's Meaningless Nationals Statistic of the Week

Under the heading of "meaningless statistic of the week," DCist revealed that Washington left fielders are second in the National League in being hit by pitches with 13 -- which does tend to support their observation that, "There really isn't a lot to find about a team that is 70-87 and has 5 games left to play."

Yes, but the important question is "How many go ahead, bases loaded, hit by pitches have there been?"

Along these lines, today the Post helpfully informs us that the Nationals are 10-1 when Tony Batista starts at first base.

My first instinct was to question the sample size on that one, but then I thought about how our other backup backup 1st baseman is Robert Fick.
