Salon posted a list of the 18 greatest Jewish baseball players of all time. It's interesting reading.
I read that too. I'm not sure it paints a great picture of Jews in baseball, though. Ryan Braun has been in the Majors for about 3 months... and he's already one of the top 15 Jewish baseball players of all time? Mike Lieberthal in the top 10? Oy.
Who else do we have? I think that's the point conceded by the author -- there aren't a lot of talented Jewish athletes. Ergo his story about not being a basketball player. You're left handed. Someone could have tried to make you a pitcher at some point, but instead they got you to go to grad school.
