Aaron Wins the PH4H NCAA pool
I already put this in the comments of Dara's post (well, after a couple corrections)....
But Aaron is the 2007 PH4H NCAA pool champion. He has 218 points currently, and the most possible by anyone else is Steve, with 220 points possible. But Steve and Aaron both have Florida winning in the next round, so in order for Steve to get his 220 points, Aaron will get more than 220 points.
Congrats to Aaron!

Of course he won and should have considering all the basketball he watches! Still its fun to wait until the end.
As I commented below, yes, Aaron won. But second and third place aren't set, and I think there's still some possibility that Andy doesn't lose. So, it's not entirely over -- unlike the NIT tournament, where no one can score any more points.
And for the record, I agree with Debby. We wait until the end here.
I take back the part about Andy not losing.
Andy lost. Big-time.
Still, we should wait until the end. And guess what? I'm the league commissioner.
Ok. Fine. We can wait until the end... In that case, Wisconsin still has a shot!
The point is that there are still points to be earned, and while first and last are decided, the middle is unclear.
Plus, some of us are still looking forward to the last three games.
Wow, this is one of the longest conversations we've ever had on this blog.
We had 13 comments once, 11 twice, and 9 a couple of times. This is now the 7th. Can we beat 13?
My fellow Americans, I will not concede the race to Aaron just yet. Even though my victory is statistically impossible, I will continue to support my bracket. That makes 8 comments, Dara.
Steve, you never know. The Supreme Court could still come in and declare you the winner.
Dara, I'm fine with Florida repeating if there's a guarantee the Cardinals repeat as World Series champs.
Justin, I cannot guarantee the Cardinals a victory in October. But, as it stands now, the Gators look pretty good.
Why is the title worth few enough points that if Georgetown wins, I still won't win the pool? I protest.
Dara, I wasn't being exact. :-p Just making a point.
Dan: For you, the title game is worth 12 points. As explained in the rules, you'd get more points if Georgetown wasn't a 2-seed. Plus, Aaron picked Georgetown to lose to Florida in the championship, so he'll get more points if Georgetown makes it that far.
You can overtake Steve if Florida and Ohio State lose. Justin cannot overtake you, because he would also need for Georgetown to win.
Next year, I might opt for higher values for each round. So, instead of the championship being worth 6 (times the seed multiplier), I might have the value of each round increase exponentially.
Debby: Now we're tied for the most comments ever.
Dan: For the record, the only scoring system where you could possibly win would be if the first round = 1 point (times multiplier), second round = 2; sweet 16 = 4; elite eight = 8; final four = 16; championship = 32.
Maybe next year, each round should be worth the sum of the proceeding rounds (1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8)? Or 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13?
Whatever it is, it will have to be some sort of mathematical progression. I can't stand arbitrary number sequences.
14th comment!
Thank you Justin for the congrats, even though it isnt over.

It's like the wave. Can we keep it going?

And, much like Dan's video, this comment thread goes in all sorts of different directions.
