The perils of being "senior editor"
Yesterday, at my work address, I received an invitation to join AARP. I'm thinking of joining. The discounts, you know?

Go for it. I'm sure you're more than qualified. ;-)
And instead of buying a condo in the DC metropolitan area, you can buy a villa in Florida near my parents and go to early-bird dinners.
Sounds fun.
Dude, I just got an invitation, too! I can't figure it out...Then, Caroline asked for the temporary membership card that came with the letter. I let her have it. i'm thinking of returning the registration form and saying that I would like to be a member but listing my real age. Would they reject me? or would they just welcome me with open arms and send a bill?
Depends on the competency of the intern reading your application, Steve. (Do you have to be over 50 to intern for them?)
Maybe real age isn't a criteria. Apparently I'm to young for them. :-p
